This springtime Puka with fruit was inspired by trees near the artist's Papamoa Beach home. The random scallops in the leaves create interesting shadows and highlights. This is the first work in Christie's new 2022 series called 'A Positive Passion'. Christie enjoys using bold translucent colours in light washes and glazes to create these positive and joyful intuitive impressionist works.
