Robyn Engelsman

Robyn is best known for her quirky and fun paintings of Mt Maunganui and other favourite holiday locations.  She is inspired by the beautiful, natural NZ landscape and clear, clean air and puts her own ‘twist’ on the scene.  Robyn’s father is an artist and she initially learned to paint from him, then attended night classes and enjoys painting in acrylics and watercolours.  She lives in Hamilton and when she goes on holiday, Robyn loves to sketch a scene in pencil or watercolour.  After returning home, she enjoys the challenge of painting her own interpretation of the scene onto canvas.

Robyn has a beautifully relaxed and fun style. Character really shines through in her paintings. The colours and compositions are carefully chosen to make the most of her style.
