Dawn Miller

Dawn has been a portrait artist for several years. Her love for wildlife and birds has recently led her in new directions.
She paints using a variety of pastels including pan pastels and pastel pencils. As well as oil based coloured pencils. Dawn is a self-taught artist who, as a child, would draw or paint every day. Born in England, Dawn spent many a day in the English countryside, appreciating nature's beauty and bird life.
Dawn is inspired by this beauty "nature is the true artist, I just wish to capture it on an easel!"
Dawn's aim is to capture and reproduce the naturally occurring colours, patterns and characteristics found in wildlife. After moving to New Zealand she finds the native bird life very inspiring.
